The Institution of Engineers (India), is the national organization of engineers in India. The Institution of Engineers (India) has more than one million members in 15 engineering disciplines in 114 centers or chapters in India and overseas; it is the world's largest multi-disciplinary engineering professional society in engineering and technology world.
The department of Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering is certified with IE (I) Accreditation in the year 2015. The department frequently organizes vibrant activities for the staff and students under the banner IE (I). Faculty in charge of IE(I) from our department is Er. Aneena Cherian.
Recent Activities by IE Student Chapter of AEI department:
• Conducted a 'Hands on training workshop on ’Design and making of automation circuits' for S1AEI students on 20.08.16 (Saturday). 21 students of S1 AEI attended the workshop.
• Conducted the prelims of paper presentation Organized by Saintgits College IE chapter on 28.08.18 in CLC 304 OF CLC block. The theme of “Skill Development for Young Engineers to Reform the Core Sector: Vision 2025” in connection with the 49th Engineers’ Day Celebration was the topic for the paper presentation. After the prelims, Maria Grace Augustine (S3 AEI) was declared as the winner from AEI department and she was selected to present in the final presentation on 30th September 2016.
• Organized a Technical Aptitude test for S7 AEI students on 02.11.16 in RB 402 of Ramanujan block.Fourty students attended the test and the commented that it was helpful for them to attend the Gate Exam. The questions were of objective type and covered almost all subjects from the basic concepts. The answer sheets were corrected to short list the first three toppers. The toppers were Alan Thomas, Naveth Ashraff, Sijin Kurian
