Seven faculty members from Mechanical Engineering Department visited the renewable energy center, Mithradam, on 4th February 2017. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize the facilities available at the center and to have preliminary plans for student training programs.

SAINTGITS College of Engineering has signed a MOU with Indian Institute of Welding (IIW). Dr. M D Mathew, Dr. Sreejith C C, Dr. Cherian Paul attended the function along with the Executive Chairman & Principal.

FAN3 was a week-long event focusing on digital fabrication and international collaboration. It gathered the FabLab Asia Network which includes more than 80 labs located in 20 countries in the Asia Pacific regions and also local makers from India The main event took place in Mumbai – Pune city from Jan 13 to Jan 15 2017 and in Kochi Kerala from Jan 17 to Jan 18.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, Adoor organized a Five Day TEQUIP Phase II Sponsored Faculty Development Program on Innovative Materials of Thermal Energy Storage from 19 to 23 December 2016.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of Engineering, Adoor organized a Five Day TEQUIP Phase II Sponsored Faculty Development Program on Engineering Applications of Finite Element Methods from 5 to 9 December 2016. Finite Element Methods now find a very significant role in every domain of Engineering. The program served as a knowledge sharing platform with experts from IIT, NIT, IISc & IIST.
