We cordially welcomes you to the 47 th ISTE National Annual Convention to be held at Saintgits from 27 th to 29 th January 2018


Theme:  Transform Student Engineers to Practicing Professionals Engineering education aims at generating employable graduates. The quality crunch of technical education is much debated across various stakeholders of technical education. To address this issue, a concerted effort by all educational shareholders is inevitable to transform the students into efficient, industry ready professionals. In this context, the convention proposes to discuss the challenges, prospects and opportunities of molding student engineers to practicing professionals appropriate for a digital engineering enterprise. The convention envisages innovative teaching learning practices to deliver information and inculcate essential skills in students required for industry 4.0.Several game-changing initiatives in technical education including maintaining quality standards will be discussed in this convention in detail.   Original articles/proposals/case studies covering, but not limited to, the following subthemes related to the main theme of the convention are invited for presentation and discussion.

  • Rediscovering Education for Energy, Environment and Sustainability Consciousness of energy environment and sustainability among students, curriculum development/planning, Societal sustainability, Community Projects and EPIC initiatives, Sustainable Social Entrepreneurship.


  • Adapting Intelligent Systems for Man, Machine Synergy (MMS) Robotics, Machine Learning, Role of undergraduate research on fostering MMS, Industry sponsored pedagogical / research for MMS studies.
