First Year

Foundation in Commerce

 Foundation in Commerce is given to first year B.Com students, in order to give them basic knowledge regarding accounting and mathematics. For a one year programme we cover basic concepts of balance sheet regarding accounting and basic mathematics.


Objectives:-

  1. To give basic accounting knowledge to non commerce students.
  2. To develop the basic mathematical skill of students.
  3. A refreshing class for commerce students.

BEC (BUSINESS ENGLISH CERTIFICATE)
                              

                      BEC is a certificate provided by British Council and Cambridge University aimed primarily at individual learners who wish to obtain a business related English language qualification.BEC helps one to get ahead in career, as it shows that you have learnt English at an appropriate standard and can use it in a professional context.

The test covers the four English language skills:

  1. Reading
  2. Writing
  3. Listening
  4. Speaking 

BEC is available at three levels:

  1. BEC Preliminary
  2. BEC Vantage
  3. BEC Higher


All three levels of BEC are clearly linked to the Common European Framework for language assessment, published by the Council of Europe:

CRT (Campus Recruitment Training)

In order to equip the students to appear for campus placements. The programme includes training for Group Discussion, Interviews etc..

SCAS conducts aptitude test for screening the applications of job seekers. Perhaps aptitude test reveal the competencies like problem solving ability, critical skills, deductive reasoning, inductive reasoning, mathematical reasoning, data analysis and information ordering of the individual.
