Applied Electronics and Instrumentation



Applied Electronics & Instrumentation engineering is one of the most preferred branch today when it comes to engineering courses. It is also a field in demand. Instrumentation is one of the most all-encompassing fields of engineering.An instrumentation engineer is essentially responsible for designing, developing, installing, managing and maintaining equipment which is used to monitor and control the engineering systems, machinery and processes. Almost all process and manufacturing industry such as steel, oil, petrochemical, power and Defence production will have a separate instrumentation department, which is manned and managed by instrumentation engineers.

PEO1.  Development of professional competency - Developing knowledge and proficiency in electronics and instrumentation field with a strong foundation in mathematics.

PEO3.  Team Management Skills, Creativity and Ethical Responsibility- Managing different engineering projects by creating an environment of trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort with social and ethical responsibility.




Selecting Instrumentation as your area of specialization can indeed bring high dividends throughout your career. As per the National forecast survey, with so many industries coming up and the need of Instrumentation Engineers is eventually going to increase exponentially. Thus, there is plenty of scope for engineering graduates specialized in this field.
