Association and Clubs


The Association of Civil Engineering Students (ACES) has been the pride of the department since its inception in 2006. The association has been instrumental in providing the students an exposure to recent advancements in the area of Civil Engineering. It also provides the students with an opportunity to interact with the industry.

Report of activities 2014-15

ETERNIA 2k14, the technical fest of department of Civil Engineering was conducted on 1stAugust 2014. Er. Sujith P Abraham was the staff coordinator of ETERNIA of this year. Mr. Roby R Roy was elected as the president of association of Civil Engineering Students (ACES) and project manager of ETERNIA 2k14. Ms. Ansu Anna Abraham was elected as the vice president of ACES and Asst. Project Manager.
The estimate required for conduction of ETERNIA was Rs. 76500. Eight events were proposed to be conducted in ETERNIA 2014. Respective heads were chosen for each event and coordination committees. . The budget included Rs. 35000 as prize money. The Remaining amount was used for the proper conduction of the events.
Venue and Coordination
The venue and coordination members collected the requirements of each committee members and classrooms were allocated in the VB block and seminar hall and cultural centre in AB block. The venue and coordination members planned each of the events efficiently without much clashing of events.
Students from different colleges were welcomed to the technical fest ETERNIA. The chief guest was welcomed by Prof. P. Eapen Sakaria, H.O.D, Civil dept. SAINTGITS, accompanied by reception committee members. The technical talk started at 9.30 am. Registration started from 10.00 am onwards. The response of students from both inside and outside the college was marvelous. External participation in technical fest was around 80 and thereby making a total participation of 130. And the events were conducted as planned earlier in a systematic manner.
