Computer Science is the scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications. It is the systematic study of the feasibility, structure, expression, and mechanization of the methodical processes (or algorithms) that underlie the acquisition, representation, processing, storage, communication of, and access to information, whether such information is encoded as bits in a computer memory or transcribed in genes and protein structures in a human cell. A computer scientist specializes in the theory of computation and the design of computational systems.
Its subfields can be divided into a variety of theoretical and practical disciplines. Some fields, such as computational complexity theory (which explores the fundamental properties of Computational and intractable problems), are highly abstract, while fields such as computer graphics emphasize real-world visual applications. Still other fields focus on the challenges in implementing computation.

There is a great dearth for quality Computer Science Engineers who are of great demand in almost all business verticals. The advancements in the speed and power of computing devises and that of Internet Technologies have thrown open many opportunities for our graduates in the fields of Software Development, Network Management, Research & Development   and many other related areas. We strive to equip our students to be employable, socially conscientious and academically curious, so that they are able to contribute back to the society, in addition to reaching great heights in their own personal career.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering
Moving forward with a vision to impart quality education and a strong commitment to provide state of the art computing facilities, the department offers support for innovative projects and research publications in addition to the regular curriculum. Special training and certification programs through the Industrial partners take place regularly. The department has an excellent, dedicated, committed and experienced faculty and is well equipped with state of the art laboratory and infrastructure.
Mobile Computing, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics etc. are some areas where a lot of research is going on these days and our students are exposed  to these developments through webinars and other technical talks by experts.
