INFRASTRUCTURE - WORKSHOPS

Out of the ten subjects of study, Workshop Practice is the only practical subject in the first year classes, (S1 & S2) that too common for all branches of Engineering. This subject has no end examination conducted by the University; but only sessional mark of 150, awarded based on evaluation of the performance of the student in the workshop sections. The students have to undergo practical training in
Three Major Sections viz

  1. Mechanical Engineering Workshops
  2. Civil Engineering Workshops
  3. Electrical Engineering Workshops

The sub section under Mechanical Engineering Workshops- Fitting, Carpentry, Black smithy and foundry sections

Civil Engineering Workshops- Plumbing, Masonry and Survey Sections Electrical Engineering Workshops- Electrical and Electronics Sections 60 Students of each 1st year batch are given training in six practical sections at a time, 10 in each section viz Fitting, Carpentry, Smithy,  Foundry, Civil, and Electrical thus facilitating intensive practical training  imparted by technical staff expert in the respective trades.
