Three days workshop on Theory of computation and Compiler design was conducted on 6^th, 7^th & 8^th of August 2007.

One day seminar on Image processing and Research methodology conducted on 14^th August 2007 by Dr. N Krishnan , Prof & Head, Center for Information Technology & Engineering, M S University, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu.

Two days workshop on IDL was conducted on 14^th and 15^th of Jan 2008 by Mr. Ramprasad Sonti, Technical-Lead, Sierra Atlantic, Hyderabad.

Seminars on Artificial Intelligence and on Linux operating system were conducted.

Internationally renowned independent Computer Security and Digital Intelligence Expert and Consultant, Mr. Ankit Fadia visited our campus on 17^th July 2008 and presented and demonstrated a seminar on "Ethical Hacking". "Ankit Fadia Certified Ethical Hacker" course is a certification program on computer security that helps IT security professionals protect internet enabled computer security systems against cyber security threats and hacking and also helps people become more aware about cyber crime and IT security measures to counter it. Around 700 students belonging to CSE, MCA, ECE, AEI and EEE participated and Department Associations organized this seminar jointly with Reliance world.

Infosys Team, comprising of Mr. Manesh Sadasivan, Principal Archtect (Product Engineering) and Mr.Hari S (Associate Technical Evangelist) visited our campus on 18^th July 2008 to lead the Campus Connect Road Show. They interacted with around 500 students belonging to all the branches to outline the value and benefits of the Campus Connect program and had discussions with faculty members and the management.

Mr. R. Balachandran, Chairman & Managing Director, SB Global Educational Resources Pvt. Ltd, Kochi visited the department on 23^rd July 2008 and presented a seminar on the topic, "Attitude determines Altitude" to S4 MCA students.

Mr. Amel Mathai, Technical Consultant, Global Learning Services, Red Hat India Pvt. Ltd, Bangalore, visited our Department on 23^rd July 2008 and presented a seminar on "Open Source Software and Linux" to students.

The SAINTGITS CSI Student Branch and Department of CSE & MCA organized a Tech Talk on "Ubuntu Linux" on 31^st July, 2009. Session was handled by Mr. Pankaj Advani, an Ubuntu Linux expert from Canonical, Mumbai.

The SAINTGITS CSI Student Branch and Dept. of CSE & MCA organized a "Tech Talk on Cyber Crime & Cyber Forensics" on 7^th August, 2009. The Session was handled by Mr. P. Vinod Bhattathiripad, Consulting Cyber Forensic Engineer, Golden Jubilee Software, Calicut and he gave a clear idea of the cyber crime scenario with live examples.

The SAINTGITS CSI Student Branch and Dept. of CSE & MCA organized a "Seminar on Java Technologies and PHP" on 23^rd August, 2009. Sessions were handled by Mr Boby Thomas and Mr Shoby C Nair, Clave Land Technologies, Kottyam and they explained the basics of Java and PHP Technologies and its features in detail.

SAINTGITS college of Engineering has signed an MoU with Infosys Technologies through its Campus Connect Program. As part of this program, teaching staffs are being trained by Infosys through Faculty Enablement Program (FEP) at Infosys Campus, Chennai. The CC Program includes subjects that cover the basic knowledge required for software professionals. Mr. Hari S, Program Coordinator, Infosys Development Center, Trivandrum and Mr. Ravi Illimattathil, Manager, Software Testing dept, Trivandrum, visited SAINTGITS on 26^th August 2009. Mr. Hari S introduced the new version of FDP program FP 3.0 and explained its features and importance.

A one day International Workshop on Open Source Tools in Engineering, organized by the Dept.CSE & MCA, SFSC and CSI Student Branch of SAINTGITS College of Engineering was held on 30^th October 2009. Sessions Handled by: Prof. (Dr.) Clif Kussmaul -Associate Professor of Computer Science at Muhlenberg College, Allentown, PA, USA, Dr. Achuthsankar S. Nair - Hon. Director, Center of Bioinformatics, University of Kerala, Thiruvanathapuram, Dr. Hema Ramachandran - Asst Professor in Electrical Engineering at the University College of Engineering, Karyavattom and Er. Indulal S - Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering, College of Engineering, Trivandrum.

A one day Workshop on Intricacies of Programming/Debugging in Linux for faculties and students, organized by the Dept.CSE &MCA was held on 6^th February 2010. Mr. Sajith, L&T Infotech, Chennai, explained the various commands and debugging techniques used in Linux.

The SAINTGITS CSI Student Branch and Dept. of CSE & MCA organized a Tech Talk on "Technology Innovations that could matter a lot"on 7^th July 2010. The Session was handled by Mr. Antony Satyadas, Global Solution Strategist, IBM-USA and he explained the necessity of sharing software and knowledge through cloud computing.

SAINTGITS has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IBM to pursue higher education for students and faculty members by giving a free training of IBM tools and Software Certifications. IBM opened a Centre of Excellence @ SAINTGITS with the aim of providing world class skills to students on IBM latest Technologies and IBM products.
Through the IBM academic initiative, three days workshop on DB2 was organized for a bunch of selected students and faculty members on 15^th, 16^th and 17^th of July 2010. Mr. Kapil Wadhwa, Technical Consultant- IBM lead the training for students and Faculty members.
