Association of Royal Mechanical Students (ARMS)

ARMS- Association Of Royal Mechanical Students is introduced to provide a platform for the students to exhibit & sharpen their academic & practical knowledge. Seminars, Working Model Exhibitions, Best Professional Contests etc. conducted by ARMS do fulfill the above said purpose thereby achieving an integrated development of the students.  

Society of Automotive Engineers

Student Chapter for Society of Automotive Engineers has been inaugurated by S. Sivakumar, DGM, Design Studio, Royal Enfield, Chennai on 3rd February 2010. Technical Talk on INDUSTRIAL DESIGN was delivered by S. Sivakumar for the SAE members on 3rd February for duration of 90 minutes

MECHNIUS 2014

Mechnius 2014, the National Level Technical Fest of Mechanical Engineering Department of Saintgits College Of Engineering, Pathamuttom, Kottayam in association with the Association of Royal Mexs of Saintgits (A.R.M.S) was held on 7th August 2014.

Mechnius 2014, the National Level Technical Fest of Mechanical Engineering Department of Saintgits College Of Engineering, Pathamuttom, Kottayam in association with the Association of Royal Mexs of Saintgits (A.R.M.S) was held on 7th August 2014. The fest was organised to create a platform for undergraduate engineering students of various engineering colleges to showcase their technical and managerial abilities. The participants battled it out for a prize money worth Rs 75000/- which is one of the highest prize money awarded for any technical fest in Kerala. A.R.M.S was inaugurated by Mr.V.V.Sivakumar, plant and maintenance engineer of the National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC), Kayamkulam. Mechnius consisted of a variety of events which aimed at testing the technical skills, logical reasoning, practical knowledge and managerial skills.
MECHNIUS 2013

The Mechanical Engineering Department of Saintgits College of Engineering in association with ARMS (ME Students Association) conducted the Eighth National level inter collegiate technical festival - 'MECHNIUS 2013' on 30th September 2013.

'MECHNIUS 2013' was inaugurated by Commodore Vijai Raj Kandru, Director of Centre for Naval Aviation Management Systems, Cochin. Commodore Vijay Kandru hails from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh.

MECHNIUS 2012

'MECHNIUS 2012' was inaugurated by Dr. Sabu Sebastian M., Scientist 'F', NPOL, Kochi by 20/09/2012.

The Seventh National level inter-collegiate technical festival - 'MECHNIUS 2012' on 20th September 2012 was conducted by Mechanical Engineering Department of Saintgits College of Engineering in association with ARMS (ME Students Association). The fest comprised of many competitions like Paper Presentation, Project Exhibition, Quiz, Ultimate Engineer, Robowar, Track Race, Gadget Assembly, Concept Drawing, Solutions, Auto Expo, Aeromodelling in association with Society of Automotive Engineers SAE (India) etc., which ignited the techno-managerial skills of young budding engineers.

MECHNIUS 2011

The Tech fest of Mechanical Engineering department 'MECHNIUS 2011'was inaugurated by Dr. Rameshkumar, Head of Honeycomb Product Development Division, V.S.S.C Trivandrum on 3rd Oct at Saintgits College of Engineering.

The Sixth National level inter-collegiate technical festival - 'MECHNIUS 2011' on 3rd October 2011 was conducted by Mechanical Engineering Department of Saintgits College of Engineering in association with ARMS (ME Students Association). Workshop on Automobile Mechanics & IC Engine(AUTOSPARK)

 

The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) SAINTGITS Chapter organized a 2 day Workshop on Automobile Mechanics & IC Engine (AUTOSPARK) on 26th and 27th of February 2011, (Saturday and Sunday). The duration of the programme will be from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm on both days. The MBS group Pune delivered all the concepts of Automobile Engineering in detail with the help of Theory and with specially Designed Animations which would help students to visualize things before practically working on it. The workshop was meant for S4, S6 and S8 students of Mechanical Engineering branch.
