Core Faculty

Is drawn  from the corporate and academic world and is carefully chosen for their varied exposure and innovative pedagogy. 

The core faculty of 11 consists of 3 PhD holders, 2 M.Phil holders, 2 with FDP from IIM (A), one who is a product of IIM (C), 8 with corporate experience and one entrepreneur cum teacher. All faculty are engaged in research and publications. Our faculty to student ratio is 1:9 and is one of the highest among  b-school and 60% of them have more than 10 years of experience. We have ensured that the core faculty consists of 2 psychologists to ensure better mentoring and guiding of our young aspirant managers.

Dean

Profile: A product of Loyola College, Chennai and a veteran from the Army, he is an M.Sc. from the coveted Defense Services Staff College, wellington, M.Sc. in Psychology and an M.B.A. from University Business School, Chandigarh and Israel Asper School of Management Canada.  His doctorate is in stress and Organisational Performance effectiveness.

 He is an accredited Management Teacher of All India Management Association , and has been awarded the 'Order of the Dhronacharya' for teaching excellence and 'Chief of the Army staff Commendation' for Project and Research Excellence.  His Organisational exposure includes Corporate President, Group Commander of National Cadet Corps, Director Faculty of Studies, Chief Editor of the refereed Journal, 'Infantry India' , Joint Directorship of Manpower Planning and Induction, Group Leadership in United Nations, and training assignments in many officer training institutions of the country. Prof. Jacob George,B.Tech., PGDM(IIM C)

Profile: An engineer who started his career with the reputed public sector undertaking,National thermal Power Corporation, he went on to take the prestigeous PGDM from IIM Calcutta with scholorship. His foray into the private sector was with a  cluster of companies called Midas group manufacturing tyre retread materials where he was the management executive in charge of quality and training. He was also instrumental in the creation and development of the flagship company called Midas Marketing which has become the leader in the sale of tyre retread materials in India.After fourteen years of corporate experience, he shifted to the education field where he brings a fresh approach to academics with an amazing combination of academic rigour, management reputation and corporate expertise to the class. He is an empanneled visiting professor of  the Management department in the Mahamta Gandhi University and is a certified internal auditor for ISO 9002. Prof. Ajith Thomas B.H.M., M.B.A.

A Profile: An alumnus of Berchmans' Institute of Management Studies, Mr. Thomas holds M.B.A in Marketing.  His first professional degree is a bachelor's degree in Hotel Management and has been with the hospitality service sector for more than 10 years, in the area of Corporate Sales & Marketing. Having worked with Multinationals like Pepsico, Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Inc. (Le Meridien brand), Carlson Hotels Worldwide (Park Inn brand) and companies of national stature like the K. Raheja Group of Hotels, the assignment held by him before joining academics, was as Account Director - Sales & Marketing, at Le Meridien Resort and Convention Centre, Cochin. At Le Meridien, he was responsible for the corporate business which grew 10 times during his tenure. He was among the top performers of Starwood hotels in Asia Pacific, during year 2006-2007 on sales achievement and was selected for the Starwood's platinum incentive programme. An Accredited Management Teacher (AMT) in Services Marketing, he was also a certified departmental trainer at the hotel. He handles Leadership courses for a mentor group in the Master's level, apart from teaching assignments in Management and Marketing and coordinates foreign university progammes at SIM.  He manages the blog www.ajiththomas.blogspot.com and he can be reached on ajithkthomas@hotmail.com.

Ms.Poornima K. Wasdani, MBA, M.Phil.

Ms Jeena Kuruvilla, MBA

Profile: After her early education and childhood in Germany, Jeena completed her MBA in Marketing and then worked as a marketing manager . Dr.Roshna Varghese, MBA, Ph.D 

Profile: A top ranking student through out her academic years, Dr.Roshna was a Junior Researchship Fellow of 2002 and has a doctorate from the Mahatma Gandhi University's Department of Management. Ms.Bindu John, M.A, B.Ed

Profile: Born and brought up in the middle East, she came to India to do her graduation and post graduation in Psychology. Prof (Dr.) K.I.Koshy, Ph.D.

Profile: An acknowledged Quantitaive Technique expert with a doctorate in Mathematics from Germany, Dr. Koshy has taught in many universities abroad and in India.

Prof.P.Padmanabhan,M.S.

Profile: He is a product of UT, Austin, USA and has considerable expertise in SAS and handles the SAS Value Added Course.

Mr. Gopikrishnan R., MCA, M.Tech.

Profile: A veteran programmer with corporate experience, he is a core faculty of the MCA department and brings with him exceptional computing skills.

Mr. S.K. Prabhu, B.E.,MBA.

Profile: He is a faculty from SAINTGITS College of Engineering and teaches Production Management.

Mr. Sebastian K.S., M.Com,MBA

Profile: An expert in teaching fundamentals of finance, he has special focus and expertise in handling Managerial Accounting, thus laying the path for strong financial skills.

Profile: A language expert from Central institute of English and Foriegn Languages, hyderabad and a Certified trainer of Business English Communication from the British Council.

Profile: A veteran economics teacher who imaginatively combines the concepts of economics with the fundamentals of business. has wide teaching experience in Colleges and University and is a Doctoral guide.

Profile: A practising lawyer of the High Court and a product of National Law School of India University, he enjoys his job of teaching Business Law. An ideal person who can bring the knowledge of cases from the court right to the class room to enrich the MBA experience.
