Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SAINTGITS College of Engineering was started in the year 2004 with B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering   and since has been offering value rich education helping our students to mature into vibrant graduates. The department boasts the largest number of in-campus placements by which we are able to deliver to the student community. In the year 2014 we have started M.Tech Computer Science and Systems Engineering with the motive to strengthen the department with quality research and development. About Programme

This four year  programme provides a scientific and practical approach to computation and its applications. It enable the students to design hardware and software solutions which are mapped to real world problems and scenarios.The curriculum is designed so as to facilitate the holistic development of the students and all the courses follow Outcome Based education model. 

Besides aquring skills in the programming languages like C,Python, C++ and JAVA etc. the students also learns core functionalites of Operating system, Microprocessors, Databases, Computer Networks, Software development life cycles and Artifical Intelligence. Students are also given exposure in areas like Business Economics ,Entrepreneurship skills  etc which enables them to make a mark in their professional career.

About Programme

Computer Systems Engineering is an emerging field  and has endless potential as computers have made entry into every other field of engineering.There is a huge demand for quality systems engineers who can address the complexities conncected with different systems in a computing environment. 

The curriculum for M.Tech Computer Science and Systems Engineering  provides  students with a solid knowledge to analyze Computing  systems and provide solutions to a huge variety of complex engineering problems. This Post Graduate course  primarly fouces on covering the fundamentals of Discrete mathematical structures, Automata concepts, Image processing ,Machine learning,Advanced software testing,Software maintenance & documentation tools and Big data analytics . The entire course contents are designed and delivered with focus on quality research and development activities.

Scope of Employment

Computer Systems Engineers are equipped with a knowledge about various aspects of Computing Systems thereby contributing to the overall design and development of any system or task involving Computing devices.A Computer Systems engineer can analyze the various aspects of the system irrespective of hardware and software thereby providing clear design and development solutions to the Industry. The overall coherence of various components in the system is attributed to the capabilities of a good Computer Systems Engineer. Our Systems engineers will also be capable of engaging in long term research about the various pitfills in Computing Systems thereby contributing hugely to Academia and Industry.
