STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS

  1. Mr. Alan Lands, Mr. Baizel Kurian Varghese and Athul Joe Mathewkutty of 2016 batch developed a mask detection system that  uses Artificial Intelligence (Deep learning Technology) to recognizewhether a person is wearing a mask or not
  2. Sandra Sara Sam, Nandhu J, Ritchie George Thomas, Thasneem K S, Thomas P George and Sandeep Sajan of 2017 batch secured First prize in the Reboot Kerala Hackathon organized by the Department of Higher Education, Government of Kerala an ASAP conducted at M Dasan Institute of Technology, Kozhikode from 21 st to 23 rd February 2020.
  3.  Mammen K Abraham, Nandhu J, Prejith Prasannakumar, Thasneem K S, Sarath S Kumar Veni S selected in top 250 ou of 5000 teams in the Motwani Jadeja Foundation (MJF) Code 19 Hackathon from 10 th to 13 th April 2020.
  4. Shradha Shajimon of 2018 batch secured Second prize in the APJAKTU C Zone Women Basketball Championship conducted at Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirappally on 2 nd October 2019 and third prize in the All Kerala Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament conducted at Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham, Kollam on 28 th January 2020.
  5. Mr. Suchin John of 2019 batch and team secured first place in the Inter Collegiate C zone Table Tennis Championship conducted by AKJAKTU on  30 th September 2019.
  6. Angel Mary Thomas of 2018 batch secured Second prize in the APJAKTU C Zone Women Basketball Championship conducted at St Alphonsa College, Pala on 23 rd November 2019 and third prize in the APJAKTU Interzone Wome Basketball Championship conducted at College of Engineering, Trivandrum on 27 th January 2020.
  7. Subin George and Juan Oommen Greoge of 2018 batch secured Second prize in the MACGVYER contest conducted during the IEEE day Celebration 2019 conducted at Saintgits College of Engineering on 2 nd October 2019.
  8. 94 students from 2016 batch are placed in reputed companies with a total of 146 offers. 7 offers are through Hackathon.

FACULTY ACHIEVEMENTS

  1. Dr. V Jeyakrishnan, Associate Professor, Department of CSE is assigned as an editor for a book chapter in Wiley Scrivener publishers. 
  2. Dr. Anju Pratap received a research project grant of Rs. 50000/- for the first time in CSE department under Research Seed Money Project scheme from Centre for Engineering and Research Development (CERD), Kerala. The project titled Nightingale: A technology enabled portable assist system for nurses in Kerala”. The project addresses a few relevant issues being faced by nurses and tries to implement an assist system using healthcare informatics. She also received research supervisorship under KTU in the academic year 2019- 2020. A total of 4 Supervisors are available now in the department.
  3. AICTE sanctioned Rs. 245000/- to Prof. Dr. Jubilant J Kizhakkethottam for conducting Faculty Development Programme in Blockchain Technology.
  4. Prof. Dr. Jubilant J Kizhakkethottam, took a session at MES Institute of Technology and Management on Blockchain on 26th May 2020 , took session at Vishwajyothi College of Engineering in Blockchain and its impact on Technology on 3rd  June 2019 while inaugurating a National Conference, took session at LBS college of Engineering Kasargode in Blockchain Advancements on 19 th  November 2019 for faculty and students.
  5.  Mr. Nithin Prince John, Assistant Professor, CSE delivered a technical session at Bennett University, Greater Noida on 26 th  June 2019 as part of the leadingindia.ai project, a nationwide initiative on "AI and deep learning Skilling and Research", and delivered a technical session at College of Engineering, Adoor from 16 th to 18 th December 2019 as part of TEQIP sponsored 5 day FDP on ‘Deep Learning’.
  6.  CSE department received 3 consultancy projects which are as completed as teams consisting of Dr. Jubilant J K, Mr. Tbin Thomas, Mr. Justin Mathew, Mr. Thomas Joseph and Ms. Vidya K R
  7.  An article co-authored by Dr. Jeyakrishnan has been published in a SCI indexed Springer journal with 1.9 Impact factor.
  8. Ms. Soumya Sara Koshy Ms. Aneena Ann Alexander, Ms. Sania Thomas, Mr. Gokulnath G, Mr. Tibin Thomas, and Mr. Hari M obtained PhD admission.
