About Saintgits IQAC

Saintgits IQAC is a significant administrative body that is responsible for promoting the holistic academic excellence of the institution. The cell, constituted in line with the proposal of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), is envisaged as a bold step towards monitoring and sustenance of quality. The recent changes in the realm of Higher Education following the reforms of the National Education Policy 2020, necessitate Saintgits College of Engineering (Autonomous) to actively engage in the development and implementation of rigorous quality checks in every aspect related to the professional programmes offered in the campus. Committed to sustain its standards in education, Saintgits IQAC serves as the institutional pivot for strategizing various quality plans that will keep the institution abreast with the premier institutes, benefitting all the stakeholders. The modus operandi of Saintgits IQAC is systematic and transparent.

Preamble:

Saintgits College of Engineering affiliated to the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram, is conferred with Autonomous status in July 2020 by the University Grants Commission (UGC).   • To prescribe quantifiable outcomes for maintaining quality standards in Teaching, Learning and Evaluation processes pertaining to Outcome Based Education
  • To oversee and support the fulfilment of essential objectives of professional education envisaged by the College
  • To inculcate a quest for excellence at all levels in the academic and administrative activities of the College
  • To sustain quality and safeguard long-term quality principles wrapped in ethics and environmental protection

  • Ensure appropriate and effective delivery of academic and extra-curricular activities by timely audits
  • Monitor feedback from stakeholders, identify and prescribe remedial measures for continuous improvement

  • Organize training and development programmes to address quality enhancement for staff and students
  • Inspire need-based socially relevant events favouring technology extension and skilling to rural community
