National science day

National Science Day was celebrated by the Department of Applied Electronics & Instrumentation of SAINTGITS  on  28th February, 2017. The program was sponsored by KSCSTE, Kerala and supported by DST, Govt. of India. Prof. P.N Thankachan, Retired HOD- ECE, RIT Pampady and current secretary of  Breakthrough Science Society Kerala Chapter was the Chief Guest for the function.

As a part of National Science Day 2017 celebrations, quiz competitions, poster making competitions (with theme: “I stand for specially abled persons”), paper presentation competitions (with theme: future technologies for specially abled persons) and exhibition on astronomical devices were conducted on 28th February 2017 from 9 AM to 4.30 PM. Prof P N Thankachan and Mr. K Thankappan, Member, Breakthrough Science Society were delivered lectures and study classes on related topics. The inaugural ceremony was organized at 11 AM which is presided by Dr. M C Philipose, Principal, Saintgits College of Engineering and inaugurated by Prof. P N Thankachan. The Head of the Department (AEI) Dr. P. S. Godwin Anand, Dr. Rahul Antony, Associate Professor & coordinator of the program were also delivered the speech. The different competitions were conducted by Er. Vinayakumar B, Er. Binson V A and Er. Harinarayanan Namboothiri M G. A total of 40 students from different departments were participated in different competitions and won prizes. The winners were awarded by cash prizes and certificates after the competitions.
