MHRD INITIATIVES

The Department of Higher Education, MHRD, is responsible for the overall development of the basic infrastructure of the Higher Education sector, both in terms of policy and planning. Under a planned development process, the Department looks after expansion of access and qualitative improvement in the Higher Education, through world-class Universities, Colleges and other Institutions.

QEEE QUALITY ENHANCEMENT PROGRAMME IN ENGINEERING EDUCATION

QEEE (Quality Enhancement Programme in Engineering Education) is an initiative of MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource and Development) with a motto “Direct to Students”. Saintgits is a participator in QEEE programme, where live classes are conducted by IIT Professors. Saintgits always top the list of colleges who utilize this facility at its best. 

 

Modules

IIT faculty deliver live lecture classes to participating colleges. The schedule of lectures is sent to colleges and notifications are provided before the start of each session.

 

Course Pack

A supplement study material with lecture notes, live class videos, discussion forums, assessment and evaluation tools to serve as reference material for QEEE courses.

 

Live Labs

To provide virtual hands-on experience to students on experiments undertaken remotely. It creates an opportunity to work on a real lab experiment tailored to suit their syllabus and curriculum.

 

Bridge Programs

To bridge the gap between the initial skills of individuals and what they need to enter and succeed in post secondary education and career-path employment.

VIRTUAL LABS

An Initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Under the National Mission on Education through ICT.

 

Objectives of the Virtual Labs:

  • To provide remote-access to Labs in various disciplines of Science and Engineering. These Virtual Labs would cater to students at the undergraduate level, post graduate level as well as to research scholars.
  • To enthuse students to conduct experiments by arousing their curiosity. This would help them in learning basic and advanced concepts through remote experimentation.
  • To provide a complete Learning Management System around the Virtual Labs where the students can avail the various tools for learning, including additional web-resources, video-lectures, animated demonstrations and self-evaluation.
  • To share costly equipment and resources, which are otherwise available to limited number of users due to constraints on time and geographical distances.
