The Economics Association ‘ARDHA’
The Economics Association ‘ARDHA’ was inaugurated in the year 2017 by Dr. P. S. Mohan Kumar, former chairman, P. G. board of studies, M.G. University. All students of Economics are members of this Association. Periodic meetings of the association are held to review the regional, national and international economic and business issues. Evaluation of the Union and State budgets is one of the major activities of the association. Students of the college are given an opportunity to participate in an alternate budget competition ‘Arthavichara’ and prizes are awarded for the best teams. Association under the name ‘AVENSIS’ also hosts events like ‘Best Economist, Auction trading, Escape plan as part of Gits Blitz, an inter-collegiate fest every year.The Association has also instituted a competition for the best research publication among the faculty. Motivational sessions as part of career guidance and research methodology sessions for the students are conducted every year on a consistent basis.As a part of understanding division of labor and specialization our students are also taken for industrial visits to leading concerns.The association encourage and equip our students for various inter-collegiate events.The association has hosted Inter School competition’ named Junior Gits and various community development programs .A one-day National Seminar on Petroleum Conservation in association with PCRA, Indian oil Corporation and Ashok Leyland was held on 12/02/2019. Three technical sessions for students of Engineering, Economics and faculties and a talk on fuel conservation for auto rickshaw drivers was conducted during the seminar. A free eye camp was organized in the college for the nearby panchayat. As part of creating awareness on AIDS for World Aids Day, a seminar was organized in the college and a flash mob at nearby locality. Staff and students of the association were involved in various rescue activities and provided all support to relief camps during Kerala Flood 2018& 2019.Our students were also given an interactive session with Paul Joseph IES(Retd), Ministry of Finance, Government of India Along with an opportunity to visit Civil Service Academy, Trivandrum to interact with T. P. Sreenivasan IFS (Retd) as part of taking up a high career. Association also organizes orphanage visits every year and a small contribution as part of developing a value system among the students.

- The work should be original and handmade.
- Photograph, Wires, Other 3D Objects won’t be acceptable.
Can include creative statements but not anti-constitutional.

- Judging based on Uniqueness of the recipe, Presentation and Creativity.
- Participants should send atleast a minimum of four images of your ‘cake baking’ to bace@saintgits.org
- Open to students and alumni of SCAS
