She did her masters from NID in Textile Design and started her career with Mafatlal Industries and practiced design in various corporates like Sunanda Industries, a knitwear division of Mafatlal Industries, Arvind mills limited. After working in the organised sector of cottons., she had also worked for the unorganised sector of synthetic market.


 
Machine print design

She designed a collection of designs for machine printed synthetic market of Surat.


Short Shirts

She designed a collection of short shirts for Integrity and Liverpool India limited which was in trend. The short shirts had multiple pockets and short sleeve with short length. Dobby, printed and big checks were in fashion.


Home furnishings

She created a designer hand block printed home furnishings for Indianapolis fair and they were based on sea, coral, fish and Egyptian themes. A colour scheme was followed as per the season. This collection was to do with table linen and bed linen. Home furnishing refers to the various items and accessories that are used to decorate and furnish a home.


Woven Shirting

She worked in shirting division of Arvind Mills Ltd. and created a collection of shirting Designs on CAD for the South American clients as well Domestic. Shirting fabric meant a broad woven yarn died textile fabric shirts which set a trend during that period of time. Arvind had a large collection of died yarns for their shirting division.


Denim Bottom Wear & ladies knitwear

She also designed a collection of Denim bottom wear for men and Knit wear for women for the brand Ruf & Tuf. These styles of denim bottom wear as well as gaberdine bottoms for men had set a trend in the Indian market at that time. The knit wear for ladies sold very well in the domestic market.
