Overview
Dr K Thomas Chandy brings to the table a unique combination of industrial and scholarly experience. Trained as a chemical engineer at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, and New York University’s Tandon School of Engineering, Dr Chandy also received his MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA. He spent 30 years in the industry, primarily in manufacturing and R&D. He has held management positions at large multinationals, such as Hindustan Lever Ltd. (now known as Hindustan Unilever), Monsanto, and Allied-Signal (now known as Honeywell), as well as at a couple of small start-ups. Returning to UCLA, he earned his PhD in Management and has a faculty member working at several universities in the United States. He is also a member of the Board of Advisors of the Saintgits Institute of Management.
