Autodesk

Saintgits Group of Institutions has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Autodesk. Mr John Jacob, Chief Operating Officer and Associate Provost – Saintgits Group and Mr George Abraham, Director of Emerging Markets – Autodesk Education, signed the Memorandum of Understanding at the Saintgits Campus on 20 March 2014.

Autodesk will offer Saintgits Group of Institutions free access to Autodesk’s leading 3D design software through the Autodesk Academic Resource Center for use in classrooms and labs in the campus. By equipping students and educators with the same tools used by industry professionals today, the collaboration will advance students’ practical knowledge and application of design technology to address real-world design challenges.

IBM Software Center of Excellence(IBM COE)

Saintgits joins the elite few Engineering colleges in our country by being chosen by IBM to set up the IBM Software Center of Excellence (IBM CoE). The IBM CoE at Saintgits was inaugurated by Mr Anil Menon, Vice President, Channels, ISV and Developer Relations, IBM Software Group, on 30/07/2010. He also exchanged the signed MoU documents with Mr Thomas T John, Director, Saintgits Group. IBM CoE aims at creating a platform for the development of software skills among students and also gives them the opportunity to acquire new skill sets around IBM software as well as help them develop world-class business solutions.

HCL MOU

Saintgits College of Engineering entered into a MoU with HCL Infosystems Ltd on 20th July 2009. This will enable summer training for the students at HCL facilities, HCL factory visits, guest lectures for engineering and management students, and an added advantage for campus selection. Special schemes for IT products of HCL will be made available to the students under this pact.

YAWAY- Saintgits Energy Technology Developement Center

The formal launching of the YAWAY – Saintgits Energy Technology Development Center was held at 10.00 am on October 16, 2008 at Saintgits College of Engineering. The Energy Technology Development Center is an industrial collaboration of Saintgits. It is a forum for students to express their innovative ideas, interact with national companies like NTPC and Reliance Power, and also get research funding for working on viable projects. About 10 energy project areas were identified, and students were encouraged to form research teams to work on areas of their interest. Handsome cash awards are awarded to the teams with the best project.
