On July 14, 2025, the Department of Computer Applications and AI at Saintgits College of Applied Sciences organized the formal inauguration of IGNITE and the Industry Integrated Programme (IIP) titled “Navigating the Digital Frontier: Tools, Trends and Intelligent Technologies.” The session was led by Ms. Fathima Nizar, a Technology Analyst at Infosys, who served as the resource person. She delivered an insightful presentation on the evolving digital landscape, highlighting the role of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analytics, and automation in transforming industries. The session aimed to provide students with a broader understanding of the tools and trends shaping the digital future. The event also emphasized the importance of staying updated with technological advancements to remain competitive in the industry. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, allowing students to engage directly with the speaker and clarify their queries. Overall, the event successfully fulfilled its objective of fostering meaningful industry-academic interaction and inspiring students to navigate the digital frontier with enhanced confidence, awareness, and a forward-thinking mindset.
The one-day workshop on “Explainable AI”, organized by the Department of Computer Applications & Artificial Intelligence in association with IQAC, was held on 6th August 2025 at Saintgits College of Applied Science.
The sessions, led by Ms. Sneha T G and Ms. Renimol V R, covered key concepts of Explainable Artificial Intelligence, focusing on model transparency, interpretability, and ethical aspects. The event saw active participation from faculty, students, and research scholars, and was coordinated by Asst. Prof. Fausiya Salim and Asst. Prof. Devika Suresh R.
