B.COM (HONOURS) – ACCOUNTING & FINANCE AND TAXATION

The Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) or B. Com (Hons.) program is an undergraduate degree designed to give students a strong foundation in commerce, finance, and business-related subjects. It aims at

1.  Accounting >< Finance and Taxation (2 batches)

Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Accounting & Finance, and Taxation or vice-versa is a specialized undergraduate program designed to equip students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills in three core areas of commerce: Accounting, Financial Management, and Taxation. The curriculum blends theoretical concepts with real-world applications, covering areas such as financial accounting, corporate finance, direct and indirect taxation, auditing, financial analysis, business law, and economics. Students gain a solid foundation in managing financial records, interpreting financial statements, planning taxation strategies, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The course also emphasizes the use of modern accounting tools and software, financial reporting standards, and ethical financial practices.

2.  Logistics Management & Marketing

The B. Com (Honours) in Logistics Management & Marketing is a specialized undergraduate program that blends core commerce education with in-depth knowledge in logistics operations, supply chain management, and contemporary marketing strategies. This pathway is designed for students who aspire to build successful careers in the fast-evolving sectors of logistics, retail, e-commerce, and marketing. The program produces job-ready professionals through practical and industry-relevant training. It addresses the growing demand for skilled personnel in sectors like FMCG, retail, transportation, warehousing, e-commerce, automobiles, pharmaceuticals,and export-import, where efficient logistics systems and effective marketing strategies are crucial for competitiveness and growth.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have passed the Plus Two or equivalent examination recognized by this University with Book-Keeping and Accountancy and any two of the following subjects:

    • Commercial Correspondence and Commercial Geography

    • Life Insurance with Salesmanship
    • Banking with Secretarial Practice

    • Computer Science/ Computer Applications

    • Accountancy as optional under Part III of the examination.
  • Candidates must have passed Plus Two or equivalent examination recognized by the University with other subjects under Part III optional subject with 45% of aggregate marks.
