About
Computer Society of India (CSI) is a leading professional body for IT professionals all over India and aboard started in 1965. CSI represents India in several international bodies like SEARCC, UNESCO etc. The Computer Society of India (CSI) has Special Interest Groups (SIG) to support research and activities in a few key areas, such as cyber security, the Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, and artificial intelligence, among others, as well as numerous initiatives for research and academics, such as publishing computer science papers in various journals by Springer. In 2021, Saintgits College of Applied Sciences established a Student Chapter of the CSI. The branch has around 70 members and is led by a Committee of students under the Guidance of a Head of the department Dr.Ambily Merlin Kuruvila and faculty co-ordinators Asst.prof.Johnsymol Joy and Asst.Prof.Saparna P. For the benefit of members, the chapter organizes monthly Technical Expert Lectures including webinars, Industry Integration Programs, Competitions like Online and offline coding Quiz, Gaming competitions etc.
