SPARK 4.0, organized by the Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of Saintgits College of Applied Sciences, was conducted on 6 February 2026 at the DB Seminar Hall with the participation of 38 teams. The program was coordinated by Asst. Prof. Jiya Jayan, with student coordinators Joel Puthen Bungalow Mathew and Neha Mary Mammen, and aimed to promote innovation, business awareness, and entrepreneurial thinking among students.
The event began with a welcome address by E-Cell representative and student coordinator Neha Mary Mammen, who greeted the dignitaries and participants and introduced the objectives of the program. The competition consisted of three structured rounds. The first round was a business and general knowledge quiz designed to test participants’ awareness and analytical abilities. The second round, titled “Delulu Round,” required teams to present creative ideas on randomly assigned topics after a short preparation time, showcasing their spontaneity, creativity, and presentation skills. The final round, “Beyond Delulu,” focused on business idea pitching, where teams presented innovative concepts before the judging panel.
After a highly competitive session, the first prize was secured by Christine Philip, Nenet Pothen Vargees, Ardra Radhakrishna, and Angela Bino. The second prize was secured by Ashik Sunish Abraham, Ann Mary Mathews, Sreehari P, and Nile Ian Easow, while the third prize was secured by Abin Tom Mani, KP Abhijith, Johan Joshua Jacob, and Sachin Satheesh. The prizes were presented by Principal Dr. Mathew Jacob, who appreciated the participants for their innovative thinking and enthusiastic participation.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by student coordinator Joel Puthen Bungalow Mathew, expressing gratitude to the dignitaries, judges, participants, and organizing committee.
The program significantly enhanced students’ entrepreneurial knowledge, creativity, teamwork, and presentation skills, while also providing valuable insights into the practical aspects of business planning and idea development. SPARK 4.0 successfully fostered an entrepreneurial mindset among students and served as a dynamic platform for transforming innovative ideas into potential business opportunities. The event also reflected the continued commitment of the Entrepreneurship Cell of Saintgits College of Applied Sciences to nurture innovation, leadership, and entrepreneurial excellence among the student community.

Kottayam, Feb 1, 2025 – SPARK 3.0, an inter-department competition organized by the E-CELL of the BBA Department, in association with SCAS IEDC, aimed at fostering innovative business ideas. Ten teams participated, with three teams reaching the final round. Aadhil R. Hussain and a team from Saintgits Institute of Management emerged as winners, receiving ₹4,000 and certificates. The event provided students with expert mentoring to shape their entrepreneurial dreams.
The E-Cell of the Department of Business Administration, in collaboration with the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC) and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) organised an engaging business quiz, BizWiz Challenge, on October 9, 2024, at DB 107 from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM.
The E-Cell of the Department of Business Administration, in association with IEDC, IQAC, and IIC, organized “Aspira – An Expert Talk” on the topic “Balancing Work-Life: Strategies for Women’s Success” on 4th September 2024 in the Seminar Hall. The expert talk was delivered by Ms. Chinu Mathew, Managing Director of Hangout Play World Park, Hangout Street Food Hub, and Chair of WEN (Women Entrepreneurs Network) Kottayam. The panel discussion was led by Ms. Chinu Mathew, along with Ms. Reeba Varughese, Managing Director of Aaarohana Group of Companies, and Dr. Sheeja Abel, Managing Director of Eden Healthcare, Kottayam.
