The International Society of Automation is a nonprofit professional association that sets the standard for those who apply engineering and technology to improve the management, safety, and cybersecurity of modern automation and control systems used across industry and critical infrastructure. Founded in 1945, the International Society of Automation is a leading, global, nonprofit organization with more than 40,000 members worldwide.ISA develops standards, certifies industry professionals, provides education and training, publishes books and technical articles, and hosts conferences and exhibitions for automation professionals. ISA’s 160 geographical sections, connect members with technology, expert advice, and world-class technical programming.
Saintgits College of Engineering started ISA Student session on 6th August 2010 for the overall development of students through industrial interactions, professional activities and leadership activities under the ISA Students chapter. ISA is recognized worldwide as a leader in non-biased, vendor-neutral education and training programs for automation professionals. Industry professionals, whether an experienced engineer, practicing technician, or newcomer to the industry, can hone their skills at ISA's regional training locations, through Onsite Training Programs at their company, or via distance education. Many ISA courses are lab intensive to reinforce important skills.
Major events conducted by ISA are International Conference on VLSI Communication and Instrumentation (April 7-9, 2011), Technical Symposium- SFERICS (Every year from 2010), different talks and workshops related to the area Automation and Instrumentation.
