Ms. Angel Baby and Ms. Gayathri R. from final year BCA of Saintgits College of Applied Sciences bagged the first placement offers in the new campus recruitment season. Both of them placed as Associate Analyst in Deloitte.


The club is composed of a small, but diverse group of students who share common interests in sustainable development, charity work and volunteerism. Reduce, Reuse and Recycle are three ways to keep the earth free from more burden. Students follow and believe in the principle of minimizing the use of natural resources. All the activities of this club are planned jointly by the club members and the faculty in-charge.

The objectives of the club are as following

  • Maintain healthy group dynamics
  • Facilitate problem solving and collaboration

    • Investing in renewable energy, conserving water, conserving fuel, reducing waste and protecting and restoring the community’s natural resources
    • Blood Donation Camp and Swachch Bharat Abhiyan activities
    • Create awareness among the students regarding road safety


The Quiz club aims at developing a healthy competitive spirit among the students of the programme. The club helps students to exchange and share their knowledge and thinking ability. This helps to upgrade the standard of the students and adds to the professional growth of the Institution and the Society. The club conducts a wide range of programmes like debates, Technical Quiz contests (Tequiz) etc. The club aims to empower the budding senators to compete in the state and national level competitions. The club is a platform for all the inquisitive minds to share knowledge and information.


The Saintgits MCA Association of the Radiant Talents (SMART) was inaugurated by Dr K R Srivathsan, Hon. Director, IITM-K, Thiruvananthapuram in the year 2006. SMART organizes various technical and managerial activities, workshops, seminars and competitions both at intra and inter-collegiate level. It provides a platform for the students to showcase and hone their skills in co-curricular and in technical domains apart from the core curriculum covered. Samyuktha is one such national level inter-collegiate techno-cultural fest organized by SMART.


The Department of Physical Education is an integral part of the educational programme designed to promote the optimum development of an individual physically, emotionally, mentally and socially. Sports and games not only create a lively environment in the campus it also gives a platform for the students and staff to develop their motor skills, leadership quality, refine their respective sporting skills and bring students and staff at a level of better understanding, co-operation and sharing. Thus, the Department takes all effort to organize events, coach and train the students and staff to perform at various levels.


The selected students are given rigorous training and coaching by the Physical Education department. The intra-college leagues for games like football, basketball, volleyball, throw ball, chess and cricket and annual sports meet are the main events. Our students have bagged positions at the inter-departmental, inter-collegiate, University and National level competitions. Under supervision, the Health and Fitness centre conducts activities for students and staff in the Multi Gym and yoga centre from time to time.
