Technical Talk on Modern practices for ensuring  the performance of bored and cast in-situ concrete piles

Department  of  Civil  Engineering  in  association  with  ISTE  Saintgits Chapter organized a technical talk on “Modern practices for ensuring  the performance of bored and cast in-situ concrete piles” on 20th  March 2019 for M.Tech Structural Engineering and Construction Management and Geo Mechanics and Structures to update the latest Technologies developed and adopted by Civil Industries. The workshop handled by Dr.Jimmy Thomas, Geotechnical Consultant, Ernakulam. He has industrial experience of 25 years and teaching experience of 5 years. He has extensive experience in the field of geosynthetics and reinforced soil structures. 

The workshop focused on modern techniques adopted in assuring the quality of bored and cast insitu concrete piles. The Technical talk enriched knowledge of the students about the emerging technologies in the design field.  ISTE Saintgits Chapter Committee Member Er Sanju Mary Sobichen and Er. Sindhu A.R(Program Co-ordinator) made all the arrangements. Dr. Soosan George T, Dean, Civil Department delivered welcome speech and introduced the Chief guest. Head of the Department Dr. Reebu Zachariah Koshy expressed words of gratitude and presented a memento as a token of appreciation to Dr. Jimmy Thomas for sharing the latest techniques & methods in the civil Engineering Industry and the witnessed faculty for their enthusiasm to the continuous learning.
