CODE QUEST 2024 – SCAS Coding Champion, organized by the Department of Computer Applications and Artificial Intelligence, took place across four rounds on August 31, September 2, 4, and 7, 2024. The rounds included an online quiz, an online coding competition, an offline screening test, and a final Code Development round.
The first prize was awarded to Sharath S. Nair and Ashish Thomas James (BCA 2nd Year) for their innovative and efficient coding solutions. Nandana Anil and Nandana K. Manoj (BCA 3rd Year) secured second prize with their technical skills, while Devanandha S. and Arpitha Asokan (BCA 3rd Year) shared third prize for their excellent teamwork and coding abilities.

On September 8, 2024, the Department of Computer Applications and AI organized an Industry Integrated Programme titled “Industry Insights: Automation and AI.” Mr. Allan Cherian Biju, a Software Engineer at Wipro and a renowned expert in automation and artificial intelligence, served as the resource person. He delivered a comprehensive overview of current industry trends and future projections. He discussed how automation technologies are revolutionizing various sectors, enhancing operational efficiency, driving innovation and highlighted key advancements in AI, such as machine learning and their implications for businesses and the workforce.
On 6th August 2024, the Department of Computer Applications and Artificial Intelligence hosted a workshop titled “The Art and Science of Cyber Security: Insight from A Forensic Expert.” The event featured Mr. Vipin George, a Cyber Forensic Consultant from the Kerala Police Academy.
On 11th July 2024, Saintgits College of Applied Sciences hosted the inauguration of the FOSS Cell and a seminar, specifically organized for the 2nd and 3rd year BCA students and MSc AI students. The event commenced at 10:00 AM with a serene prayer song by the college choir, setting a respectful and anticipatory tone for the day.
