A one-day workshop on high-grade concrete mix design was held on January 6, 2023, at the RDC Concrete plant in Nattakom, Kodimatha Kottayam. This event was organized in collaboration with the Indian Concrete Institute’s Saintgits Students Chapter. The workshop was designed for selected ICI members who are 3rd and 4th year B.Tech. students in Civil Engineering. Mr. Priyesh C.K, the plant in-charge at RDC Concrete Pvt. Ltd., led the session. The workshop covered various practical methods for high-strength concrete mix design, the steps involved in ready-mix concrete (RMC) production, the latest IS code provisions for mix design, and the importance of ultrafine materials. Students gained a comprehensive understanding of ultrafine particles produced on-site and the overall functioning of an RMC concrete plant.
