The Department of Civil engineering in association with ISTE Saintgits Chapter organized a site visit on 6th August 2024 for students and faculty members to update their knowledge.

Number of Faculty Members: 10 The visit aimed to provide students with practical insights into modern water treatment processes and their significance in public water supply systems. The site staff conducted an introductory briefing, explaining the plant’s capacity, operational framework, and the critical role it plays in delivering potable water to nearby communities. Students were guided through various stages of the treatment process, including sedimentation, filtration, and chlorination. The highlight was observing the automated control systems that ensure efficient plant operation and compliance with quality standards. This visit bridged theoretical knowledge with practical application, enhancing the students’ understanding of water resource management. It fostered awareness of the engineering and environmental efforts required to ensure clean water supply, leaving a lasting educational impact.
