Association of Civil Engineering students

The association has been instrumental in providing the students an exposure to recent advancements in the area of Civil Engineering. The technical fest “ETERNIA” is organized and conducted by Association of Civil Engineering Students (ACES) every year providing an excellent platform for the upcoming civil engineers to showcase their talents and technical know-how.

ISTE student chapter

The Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) is a leading National Professional non-profit Society for the development of the Technical Education System in India with the motto of Career Development of Teachers and Personality Development of Students. At present, ISTE Saintgits Student Chapter Civil Division has a very large and an effective membership base consisting of more than 300 members and organises various events in the college yearly like selfie competition on the theme Nature For Water, Creative Paper Collage Competition, Career Guidance Session by Architect Jacob Chandy, Workshop on ‘Emerging Technologies in Civil Engineering Design Field’, Two-Week Workshop on Environmental Studies, My Tree Challenge’ – Environmental Initiative etc.

IEI Student Chapter

Saintgits Student Chapter of The Institution of Engineers India (IEI), inaugurated on July 30, 2015, is the strongest professional organisation in the college, with more than 1700 BTech students from six departments enrolled as members. The major IEI Saintgits Civil Engineering division activities are – to commemorate National Science day, a Poster design contest was conducted with the theme “Science and Technology for Sustainable Future”, Women’s Day Celebrations, Civil Expo on “Antique Buildings”, paper presentation competition on the theme “Skill Development for Young Engineers to Reform the Core Sector: Vision 2025”, quiz competitions etc.

ICI Student Chapter

Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) is the national organization of engineering professionals employed in concrete technology and associated research areas in India. The Saintgits Student Chapter of Indian Concrete Institute, inaugurated, on 23rd March 2012, conducts several value-added courses. ICI Saintgits Student Chapter embraces budding civil engineers. The objective of the ICI Saintgits Student Chapter is to help bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge taught at the campus and what is being practiced in the field. The involvement of students in ICI activities moulds them into professionals competent to face the challenges in the field. ICI Saintgits Student Chapter organizes technical fests, technical talks, quiz contests, mix design competitions etc, at the college yearly.

ACSE Student Chapter

The American Society for Civil Engineers (ASCE) is an exempt professional body founded in 1852 to represent members of the civil engineering profession worldwide. ASCE is a leading provider of technical and professional conferences and continuing education, the world’s largest publisher of civil engineering content, and an authoritative source for codes and standards that protect the public. The various activities organised by ASCE Saintgits student chapter includes Civil Expo, Technical Talk, Site Visits, Rehabilitation works – Kerala Flood 2018, Design Project Exhibition, Survey Camp etc.

Saintgits Autodesk tie-up

Autodesk is a world leader in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software and service. Since its introduction of AutoCAD software in 1982, Autodesk continues to develop the broadest portfolio of state-of-the-art 3D software for global markets.

Autodesk offer Saintgits Group of Institutions free access to Autodesk’s leading 3D design software through the Autodesk Academic Resource Center for use in classrooms and labs on campus. By equipping students with the same tools used by industry professionals today, the collaboration will advance students’ practical knowledge and application of design technology to address real-world design challenges. Additionally, the collaboration will see Autodesk working with Saintgits Group of Institutions to:

  • Develop discipline-specific design curricula which can be integrated into relevant digital courseware.
  • Advance faculty technical skills through training programs so they can further shape the classroom experience.
  • Provide immersive learning opportunities such as national design competitions for students to showcase their creativity and skills to gain recognition.
  • Offer opportunities for students to validate their skills through Autodesk certification program.
