Participatory Learning and Field Study Programme on Sustainable Engineering Practices

As part of the institute’s commitment to experiential learning and the integration of sustainability concepts in engineering education, a one-day technical visit was organized to the Tropical Institute of Ecological Sciences (TIES), Kottayam on 21st January 2025. The visit involved 70 students from the Civil and Mechanical Engineering streams, accompanied by faculty members. This event was jointly organized in association with the Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and the Department of Civil Engineering. TIES, a recognized research centre under Mahatma Gandhi University, specializes in environmental and atmospheric sciences, and offers field-based, interdisciplinary learning for engineering and architecture students.
