1. Sanctioned ATAL Academy Sponsored Faculty Development Programme on “Role of Semiconductor Devices and Artificial Intelligence in Chip Design”, for an amount of Rs. 3, 50, 000 during AY 2024-2025 to the Department of Electronics Engineering. 2. Dr. Beena A O, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics has been sanctioned for the funding from Department of Science & Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology under the scheme Technology Development Programme (TDP) for the project titled “Design and Implementation of a Cost- effective Smart Braille Printer (TPN-79495) “.Sanctioned amount is Rs.
   23,88,660/-

4. Dr. Vinayakumar B successfully defended his Ph.D. Thesis on 09th August,2024 from the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram.
5. Dr. Ajith Ravindran successfully defended his Ph.D. Thesis on 13th June, 2023 from Karunya University, Coimbatore
6. Dr. Abraham George successfully defended his Ph.D. Thesis on 06th July, 2024 from Karunya University, Coimbatore.

15. In 2024, the IEEE SSCS (Solid-State Circuits Society) received an amount of $2950 to conduct SSCS activities. As part of the proposed initiatives, the society plans to organize a Semiconductor Conclave on May 17th, 2025. Dr. Ajith Ravindran is the in charge for the same.
16. IEEE Solid State Circuits Society (SSCS), Kerala Chapter Chaired by Dr. Ajith Raveendran, Assistant Professor (Special), Department of Electronics  received the 2024 SSCS Chapter of the Year Award across the globe. 
17. The proposal submitted by the institute under Scheme for Promoting Interests, Creativity & Ethics among Students (SPICES scheme 2021-22) has been sanctioned by AICTE for promoting Nature Club activities of the campus and grant of Rs 1,00,000/- (Rupees One lakh only) has already been released to the institute’s account.  Er. 18. Got approval for the research project proposal titled “Application of Deep Learning Techniques for Impairment Mitigation in Next Generation Multiple Access Technologies” by the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Govt. of India, for funding under the Teachers Associateship for Research Excellence (TARE) scheme to do a collaborative research work with NIT Calicut
    and Saintgits College of Engineering. During the project period of three years, Dr. Beena A O will be eligible to receive a fellowship of Rs 60,000/- per annum, research grant of Rs 15 Lakhs and overhead charges as per SERB norms. Dr. Beena A O 6th December, 2021
19. Saintgits IEDC is upgraded to a TBI (Technology Business Incubator) by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) because of the excellent performance as an IEDC over the years. “Er. Dr. Ansal K A, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics Engineering selected to the Chief Ministers ‘Nava Kerala’ Post Doctoral Fellowship amount of Rs 1 Lakh per month for a period of 2 years among 890 Applications in the category ‘Digital Technology and Engineering’ (Application Number : 10000152 – Indian Institute of Information Technology Kottayam, Kerala (Registering University)) Dr. Ansal K A 26th April, 2022.

1. Mr. Edwin K Jayesh of S6 ECE won First Prize with a cash award of 10,000 INR for his project proposal on the theme “Project for Empowering Disabled and Elderly People” in Zenith 2024, organized by Santhigiri College of Computer Sciences, Vazhithala. The inter-school and inter-college fest was conducted on 9th and 10th January, 2025.
2. Ms. Kavya Mariam Varghese, Mr. Muhammed Ajmal K, Mr. Naveen Shaji George, and Mr. Tomin Michael from the fifth semester RB B batch have secured a position in the top 25 out of 250 teams in the national level” GenAI Hackathon 2024”. The event was organized by KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology in association with Intel on the 4th and 5th of October, 2024

24. 3 students from S6 RB (2019-23), 4 students from S6 ECE (2019-23) and 2 faculty members participated in the Research Master Class programme at IIIT Hyderabad. As part of the programme, 7 air quality IoT nodes developed by the students will be deployed at SAINTGITS campus and the data will be monitored continuously at the international Dashboard maintained by IIIT Hyderabad under India – EU collaboration
25. Best Student Award presented to Mr. Gladwin Yohan Mathew (2018-22 AEI batch) in the First Southern Regional Technical Conclave held during 3 rd  and 4 th  September, 2021 at Adhiyamaan College of Engineering, Hosur, Tamil Nadu in recognization of his active involvement in promoting Technical Activities thru IEI Students Chapter at Saintgits College of Engineering.
26. Mr. Sarath Kumar and Ms. Rinnu Susan (2020-24 ECE batch – S3) selected as Interns by I-YWD (Innovation for Youth with Disabilities) – A project funded by K-Disc being implemented by NISH, for the purpose of promoting a spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship among differently abled youth (Online Internship – 6 months)
27. Mr. Amal P Rajesh (2018-22 B.Tech ECE Batch) registered a start-up “EDPHIN”- a platform for Online course creation and selling market place for professionals and students under UDYAM (MSME, GoI) on 7 th  March, 2022.
28. Five students of Fourth semester Robotics and Automation – A Batch (2020- 24 RB A batch) Jayasankar V A, Gireesh Suresh, Athul Rajeev, Aswin Kumar M and Adithya Sreekumar secured First place in the competition at Rajadhani Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nagaroor TVM in “BIPED ROBOTICS WORKSHOP” conducted on 19 th  to 20 th May, 2022 organized by Itiha 2022 & Anvira Edustation, Mumbai
29. Er. Nina Cleetus (2020-22 TE batch) was selected as the Best Outgoing M.Tech student for the First Convocation Ceremony of Autonomous batches conducted on 20 th  August, 2022.
30. Mr. Arun Gopinath and Ms. Mariam Susan Philip (2019-2023 ECE batch) under the guidance of Dr. Sreekala K. S. of our Department bagged second prize worth Rs. 60,000/- for the Innohack, a 36 Hour International Hackathon organized by Amal Jyothi College of Engineering, Kanjirapally, SRH Berlin University of Applied Science, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram and Kerala Startup Mission on 24th and 25th November 2022. The theme was Sustainability and their topic was Carbonry Automotive Particulate Emission Monitoring System.

• MoUs, Collaborations/Tie-ups- MoU between IIIT Hyderabad and Saintgits College of Engineering was signed on 10^th December, 2021 for 1 year.
• Internships, Placements
  1. 90% of the 2020-22 VE batch students got paid internships cum placement in core companies like Tata Elxsi, Ignitarium Technology Solutions, Synopsys and Tessolve.
  2. All 3 students of 2020-22 TE batch got placed in reputed companies like Tata Elxi, UST Global and DRDO and 1 student of 2020-22 RA batch got placed in Ignitarium Technology Solutions. 80% of 2018-22 batch students got placed in well reputed companies like VVDN Technologies, Tata Elxi, TCS, Wipro, IBS, UST Global, Infosys, Speridian Technologies, Experion Technologies (I) Private Limited, Quest Global Engineering Service Pvt. Ltd. etc. 5 students of 2019-23 ECE batch got placed in IBS.
  3. The Robotics Society student chapter, SAINTGITS College of Engineering has offered an internship for five students from B.Tech Robotics and Automation Engineering 2020-24 batch from 23^rd May, 2022 to 3^rd June, 2022 on the topic “Manhole cleaning robots”, a CERD RSM project, by Er. Harinarayanan Nampoothiri M G.

3. The formal inauguration of The Robotics Society (TRS) of Saintgits College of Engineering was conducted on 28^thJanuary, 2022 (Friday) through Zoom online platform. The Chief Guest for the function was Dr. T. Asokan, Secretary, The Robotics Society (TRS) (Professor and Head, Department of Engineering Design, Indian Institute of Technology Madras).
4. One-day workshop on ‘LaTex for Technical Writing’ on 29^th January, 2022 in association with Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering Students Forum.

A technical talk with hands on workshop on “Design Robots for International Events” was conducted by The Robotics Automation Communication Electronics Engineering Association (RACEE), The Robotics Society (TRS) and IEDC of SAINTGITS College of Engineering (Autonomous) for the S4 (2020-24 RB A & B)and S6 (2019-23 RB) students of Robotics and Automation programme on 9^th June, 2022. Er. Sunil Paul, Co-Founder and CEO of Srishti Robotics Technologies, Pvt. Ltd. was the resource person for the talk.
8. Internet of Things – Phase 1 hands on training programme by Internet of Things Club in association with IE(I)-Electronics division, for the B.Tech. first year students (2021-25 batch) of Saintgits College of Engineering by the S2 M.Tech VE students (2021-23 VE batch) on 25^th June, 2022.
