Activities of Mathematics club 2023-24:
1. π Approximation Day
The Mathematics Club celebrated Pi Approximation Day on July 22, 2023, with great enthusiasm. Pi Approximation Day is observed on July 22nd each year since the fraction 22/7 is a common approximation for the mathematical constant π (pi). This report outlines the activities and events that took place during the celebration.
Event Highlights:
One of the central activities of the celebration was the sharing of posters featuring pi-related facts and mathematical trivia. These posters were designed to pique the interest of students and promote awareness of the significance of pi in mathematics. The posters contained visually appealing graphics, interesting mathematical facts about pi, and information about the history of Pi Approximation Day.
2. An Expert Talk: “Harnessing the Power of Computational Mathematics in Engineering – An Introduction”
